Our Wedding

We matched on Tinder, and what started as casual messages quickly became something real, despite Kerry’s spotty texting and Alex’s move-in chaos. Alex was happily surprised when Kerry made time during a hectic week, and Kerry was just as surprised that Alex prioritized it. Our first date was a relaxed walk through Alta Plaza Park, followed by light bites before Alex headed to improv class. Alex was delighted to learn Kerry has a pet snake, and Kerry was equally intrigued by Alex. On our second date, Alex brought a book of questions to spark conversation at the bar, which Kerry loved. By the third date Finn and Holly joined us and had their first run around through the redwood grove in the Presidio. By then we knew we had a special connection. Four years later, we are so excited to get married in Half Moon Bay on May 22, 2027.

(~45 min – 1 hr drive)Drive via Hwy 1&nbsp;— The scenic route down the coast through Pacifica and Devil's Slide tunnel. Gorgeous, especially on a clear day. ~45–60 min.Drive via I-280 + Hwy 92&nbsp;— Faster and inland. ~40–45 min without traffic.Uber/Lyft&nbsp;— ~$70–100. Returns can be tricky — fewer drivers in HMB, so allow extra time when heading back.

From San Francisco 

(~25–35 min drive)Rental car&nbsp;— By far the easiest. You'll want a car to reach beaches, restaurants, and trails. ~25 min via Hwy 92 over the hill.Uber/Lyft&nbsp;— Roughly $60–90 one-way depending on time of day and surge. Fine if guests aren't planning to leave the hotel much. All events are on the hotel grounds.Private car / shuttle&nbsp;— Several Bay Area services do flat-rate SFO ↔ Half Moon Bay runs. Worth pre-booking for groups or guests with lots of luggage. Options to look into: BayShuttle, South &amp; East Bay Shuttle, or a local car service.

Flat, paved, scenic bluff-top trail that connects most of the beaches. Easiest "stretch your legs" option.

Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail

For guests who want a real hike: towering redwoods, ~20 min drive up the hill. Bring layers.

Purisima Creek Trail, Purisima Creek Road Trailhead

Right at the harbor next to the hotel. Calm protected water inside the breakwater, very beginner-friendly. They rent bikes too.
